Welcome to The Muswell Hill Practice
The Muswell Hill Practice is situated on Dukes Avenue in North London, serving the community around Muswell Hill and Alexandra Palace.
We are part of The North Central London CCG and NW Haringey PCN.
The Muswell Hill Practice is open and seeing patients!
* Please note that all calls to and from the practice are recorded for monitoring, training and quality purposes.
When coming to the practice...
When coming for a face to face appointment at the practice, please arrive at the appointment time and not early (or late). Once at the practice, please use the self-check-in screen in reception and then move away from the reception area. Please be aware that clinicians could be running late.
Due to space limitations there should only be one person in the reception area at any given time.
Please understand that you must wear a face mask at all times when in the practice.
We will need to reduce the number of seats in our waiting room, so you might be asked to wait for your appointment outside the building to observe social distancing guidelines.
Update on appointments availability
From Monday 05/07/2021 we are going to introduce a few changes to the way we provide appointments, as things continue to progress over the current pandemic.
1) We are now able to provide more face to face appointments with doctors. Please bear in mind that we will still be observing the guidelines for social distancing, use of face masks and sanitisation in the practice.
2) We will be increasing the number of pre-bookable appointments. These appointments can be booked with our reception team and some telephone appointments will also be available for online booking. We will continue to offer online consultations as well. Please understand that telephone consultations will not have fixed times, so the doctor will call you sometime during the morning or afternoon you had it booked.
We will always see anybody with an acute medical problem who needs to be seen urgently on the day, please phone reception if this is the case - online triage is NOT suitable for urgent problems.
Please note: times for telephone consultations can only be approximate, it is not possible for doctors to know how long each call will take and some calls take longer than anticipated. The doctor will call you during the morning or afternoon session in which the call is booked. Please be understanding if your call is not at the exact appointment time and ensure that your phone is not switched to “silent” .

Introducing Video Group Clinics
What are Video Group Clinics and why is the NHS supporting their roll out in primary care?
Video group clinics are a way for any of the clinical primary care team (including the network team of social prescribers or pharmacists) to see people with a similar health or social issue for example diabetes, asthma or high blood pressure. Group clinics can offer more time for people to talk about their concerns and learn how best to keep healthy during the COVID-19 outbreak. They can also be used for education/information sessions on health and social issues.
Before COVID-19, many GP practices were using group clinics to support and review people with long-term conditions. COVID-19 has seen most practices rapidly switching to remote consulting, including remote group consulting. It is thought that video group consultations will be able to deliver many of the benefits of face to face group consultations in a safe and convenient way for both patient and clinician.
The Muswell Hill Practice may offer you the opportunity to participate in a Video Group Clinic. Please see video for how VGC clinics are run and some of the benefits of this type of consultation.
