When We Are Closed
If you need assistance at weekends, bank holidays and weekdays from 18:30 to 08:00 please call 111. You may receive telephone advice, be invited to a local walk-in-centre, or a car doctor might visit you at home depending on the circumstance.
This service is not for routine matters but for pressing medical problems which cannot wait until the surgery opens again.
There is also a minor injuries unit at Finchley Memorial Hospital. The opening times for the unit are liable to change so it is best to telephone to check before travelling. The number is 020 8349 7478.
Accident and Emergency
If you need emergency treatment it may be appropriate to go straight to A&E at the Whittington Hospital. Please remember to use this service appropriately, and only in emergency situations. The local health service will be charged a minimum of £78 for any attendance at A&E - a similar amount to the payment that a general practice will receive for unlimited attendances for one patient in a whole year!
Urgent Dental Care Service
For out of hours dentistry, see this poster.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
